I started as a parent volunteer with Mathis ISD and went on to become a first grade bilingual teacher, third grade teacher, assistant principal, and principal of my own campus (elementary). I have been an educator for over 20 years.
I have been married for over 35 years to my husband Rick. We have three children together. My oldest son is a teacher/coach; my middle daughter is a lawyer in San Antonio; my youngest daughter is a media/marketing specialist in Austin. I have a granddaughter who is a sophomore in high school and a human-like dog called Rocko.
I enjoy gardening and spending time with my family and friends.
